WEEK 4

WOW! Week 4 already!

This week we are hoping to be able to use the school pool so don't forget your togs on Tuesday and Thursday

On Friday we have Jandal Day where children bring in a donation towards surf lifesaving and wear their Jandals! We will also have a range of watery activities on the field so...bring togs and a towel for Friday too!

A small reminder to PLEASE bring a book bag everyday.

We are working on narrative writing, adding awesome adjectives, precise verbs and adverbs... Watch this space for some amazing work!!

We are also looking at building something of value. Some of the students bought in some amazing models that they had created with their families. If you can build something that amazing with paper... Just imagine what we can build if we use our skills in our classroom, syndicate, school and community! We are looking at how valuable we as individuals are and how we 'build' things of value into our lives.

Fairies

Once upon a time some fairys were playing  by the forest  river.They were playing happily .Some butterflys
were waching cheerfully.Soon they went home for dinner and then went out for a play.They were flying gracefully home when one saw giant scary dragon flying fearsly around them.They tryed  flying higher but the dragon caught them. The dragon laughed and said oh sorry i didnt mean to catch you. the end

Sams

on the second weekend im going to sams i cant what go to sams on the second weekend we are going to play minecraft on his xbox360 were going to play all night. by jaiden                                                            

Auckland City

On Wednesday I made a sky tower. My mum helped me because i dont know how to make a sky tower. My mum helped me get all the things i needed. We needed cardboard, newpaper and a plane box. We got some roll of paper too. I made the sky tower and some buildings. I put in a tunnel. I stuck some pictures of cars on to card to show the carparks and put some shells in too.

after a sleep it was thursday. i did some more on it after the picnic. Then i took it to school today.

Last night me and my mum made a sri lankan dairy out of cardboard, we used a gingerbeer box.
I made it because thats where I come from.

this  week  we  have  been  lerning   about   verb s and adverbs. verbs are doing words and have ing. adverbs help us know how they are doing it. they have ly.

Pyramid

on sunday I made a pyramid. I made it out of rolled up pieces of newspaper. I put sand coloured paper on the outside.I made it because i like history and it was a kind of house.

My family house

on Wednesday I stared on my house. It is only made out of newspaper and carbord.I made a games room in the roof. I put my family in the front of the house because they are important to me.

I made a model of a house. I made a house because every one lives in  a house .I think houses are specal.
My dad used his measuring tools so i could make everything even. I took about one hour!

one day I went to australia and I went to sea world and we got to see three sealion trainers and after that I went a different place I forgot the name of the place and I got to a snake and a person was holding it and I   I got so scared my parents even screamed next program was a person was training  a crocodile.And after that I went home.

Awesome teacher

The thing i love about room 8 is we have a awesome teacher calld naome shey is grate fun and naome is super cool no jokes and we have a super fun class and i love this school calld green bay i have 4 frends in my class calld tomes romen and riyne allso leo.

Sky Tower

Hi I am Jaymee and I made this amazing sky tower out of newspaper. I made it for homework because we were learning about buildings and building things of value, with strong foundations. I am in Room 8.  My Uncle helped me make it. We rolled up newspaper and taped it. We used string the make a bungee cord with a man. Can you find the bungee man jumping? 

PENCIL OF DOOM

The pencil of doom is a book  . It is awesome  we are up to chapter 24. It is cool because Henry thinks his pencil makes things happen. Today a lion form a circus came to school but Mr Brainfright the teacher could cuddle him and then no one was scared

Week 2

Oliver and Jaydens story of week 2 On thursday the surf to school  came talked to us about being safe in the water we learn about rips we went outside to play 3 games.we play 2 games with the rescue choubs. and one game of octopus me jayden and me oliver won one game.me and oliver had a fun time!!

Surf to School

This week we had a visit from 2 life guards, Sarah and Simone. 

They dressed Holly up as a life guard!

They taught us about the role of life guards, how to spot a rip and what to do if we get caught in a rip.

They talked to us about how to keep safe on the beach.

We got to play some lifesaving games using the rescue tubes.

We learned a lot!

last wensday we went to sience  .From last wensday we had a small dish with salt water in it.When we came back the water was gone there was only salt crystals.Next our sience teacher Nick gave us an empty cup we had to fill it up with water up to number 50.We had to fill it up with salt.It was fun.
